PPG Industries’ coatings have helped Brazil put on a fresh, colorful appearance for the 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP event.

PPG products ranging from Tintas RENNER architectural coatings, manufactured in Gravataí, Brazil, to STEELGUARD fire protection coatings were used to prepare prominent venues such as Beira-Rio Stadium in Porto Alegre and arenas in Curitiba, Recife and Natal. PPG coatings products also were used to renovate hotels and airports in São Paulo, Campinas and Recife, and to update transportation systems.

In addition, PPG packaging coatings cover the inside and outside of a “bottlecan” for BRAHMA beer’s limited-edition Selecao Especial beverage. The beer, produced by Anheuser-Busch InBev, incorporates a select crop of barley grown on a famous Brazilian soccer pitch.
